Refractive error, strabismus and amblyopia screening
Refractive Error is a situation where the eye cannot focus a picture on its light-sensitive layer called Retina. Therefore, the picture becomes blurred and the person cannot see near or far objects clearly. If it happens with children under 7 years of age and left without treatment, the eye(s) become lazy and results in Amblyopia which is an untreatable vision impairment.
Strabismus or misaligned eyes could be congenital or due to Refractive Error or any other disease. Strabismus could also result in Amblyopia if left untreated.
